Origin Story

Our founder, Matt Thompson, is affectionately called Sergeant Mustache by his family. That is where we got our name. It comes from his military service and grooming choices. That makes it the perfect name for the next generation of appliance sales and service. We hope you will allow Sergeant Mustache to help with all of your appliance needs. Matt and Jennifer Thompson know appliances. They have been in the business for 20 years. While Sergeant Mustache Appliance is new, the service and integrity you know and trust is found here as well.

Join the Cult, No Kool-Aid required

We joke that Speed Queen has a cult following. Word of mouth really sells this product. Our community loves the fact that Speed Queen is built to last decades. They love the longer warranty. Many are looking for the old school features like no lid lock. The thing that seals the deal most often is the personal recommendation. That recommendation may come from the ladies at the bank as you stop in on the way to the store. We see it from family or friends. At times it’s a social media post, “What do we like for laundry these days?” and the Speed Queen cult members come out in force! So if you are ready to join the cult, we won’t give you any kool-aid, but we do think you will love your washer!
